O-foil is based in the Netherlands (Rotterdam and Arnhem) and has developed a ground-breaking propulsion system for ships. A wing (Flipper) moving up and down is much more efficient than a screw propeller. The propulsion area is enlarged by making use the ship width. The first barge with O-foil propulsion is sailing.

Basically we are an engineering company with expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydrodynamics (CFD) and naval architecture. However we deliver the O-foil propulsion system as a product together with established partners.

We want to build a new generation inland-vessels with O-foil propulsion that are sustainable and profitable. These modern with the latest tools designed ships and hybrid propulsion save up to 50% on fuel consumption.

We are also offering our expertise in the field of CFD simulations, FEM analysis, CAD design, instrumentation & data acquisition, load cell design and strain gauge installation, electrical design and simulation, ship stability calculations.
